This Talbot was the star of the show for us when Bonhams MPH auction asked us to do a promotional video. Jason nearly lost his mind when he first drove it and it was love at first turn of the battery cut-off.

It captivated us with its raw power and back to basics dynamics, the power delivery was astounding in a car so old and so small. At barely 1000Kg and 240BHP this Talbot is tuned like the rally cars it pays homage to and certainly has enough power to hurl you down the road at quite a pace.

Due the the Corona Virus outbreak the live Bonhams auction was sadly cancelled but sealed bids could be placed on any of the lots that were still available. Jason took this opportunity to place a bid but it always felt like this car would easily make its estimate if not exceed it so it was with great surprise when Jason received the call to say his bis had been successful.

There will be plenty more episodes on this car, its history and the history of the brand and how they came to shoe horn a Lotus engine into a small family hatchback.
